JACINTHA CHARLES

LISA YADAO

PRODUCER

Jacintha Charles is a Singaporean-Indian Filmmaker and Actress based in San Francisco, California.  

Her works have been funded by the Singapore Film Commission and her latest award-winning short film, The Gift, which she Co-Wrote and Directed, have screened at several film festivals including Dances With Films, Directed By Women Turkey, Feratum International Film Festival, Cinefantasy International Film Festival, Julien Dubuque International Film Festival and Phoenix Film Festival. 

Her approach to stories are heavily influenced by her life as a Woman of Color. Her goal is to share stories of the underrepresented, include diversity in front of and behind the camera and champion and encourage others like herself to tell stories of their own.

 

MADHAVI was placed in several screenplay competitions including Page International, Filmmatic and  Atlanta Film Festival  and was selected as a by the Stowe Story Lab program 2021 in partnership with the Final Draft Fellowship. She is currently working on the feature script.

Jacintha is a member of the Alliance of Women Directors, Women in Film, Film Independent, San Francisco Film Society and the Screen Actors Guild.

Lisa Yadao is a Native Hawaiian-Filipina Producer, Director and Screenwriter based in San Diego and San Francisco. Her credits include short films, web series and videos for Bobbie Baby, Lucid Motors, Square, Caviar and FWD Stance.

 

Lisa is the Co-Founder of Paper Tongue Productions, whose mission is to raise visibility for women, especially women of color, and to champion underrepresented perspectives in film and media. The pilot episode of their food doc series, Roots & Wings, is currently in the film festival circuit as they seek funds to develop and shoot the rest of their series. Roots & Wings profiles WOC chefs who use food as a conduit for cultural awareness and as a means of perpetuating their cultural traditions.

 Lisa also produced the award-winning short film ,The Gift, currently in the film festival circuit as well.  She has most recently worked with baby formula startup and industry disruptor, Bobbie Baby, on their creative content focusing on destigmatizing how we feed our babies.

 

Lisa is a member of Int'l Documentary Association, Alliance of Women Directors, Women in Film, Brown Girls Doc Mafia, San Diego Filipino Cinema, Hawai'i Filmmakers Collective.

HARLY CRANDALL

    PRODUCER / FIRST ASSISTANT DIRECTOR

After graduating film school in 2010, Harly worked his formative first years in the film industry while living in San Francisco, CA.

 

Aside from commercial, corporate non-profit organization projects, feature and short films are how he cut his teeth. They include The Dance, Drive Me to Vegas and Mars, The Gift and an upcoming feature film starring Constance Wu.

 

Harly frequently collaborates with Jacintha Charles since having met at film school and divides his time between the Bay Area and Los Angeles where he has since lived with his two sons, and now works as a freelance cinematographer and producer.

MIIKKA SKAFFARI

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Miikka is a Photographer and a Producer whose photographs have been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, USA Today, Chicago Times and Cineplex. Films he has produced have played at several festivals including Dances With Films, Stranger Days Independent Film Festival, Austin After Dark, Julien Dubuque Film Festival, Feratum Film Film Festival and Cinefantasy Film Festival. 

 

He produced and directed the short film "Betrayed" a film noir  story set in San Francisco and is the Executive Producer of the award winning films"The Dance" and "The Gift".


Together with Jacintha Charles, they are partners of Charles & Skaffari Productions which is producing the film 'Madhavi'.

Eli Booker

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Eli Booker is a Bay Area born and raised filmmaker. At an early age, he was enraptured by the art of filmmaking. As a Waldorf student, a schooling system based in working with ones hands and disengaging with technology, his teenage rebellion came out in the form of creating films with his friends.

 

His love for the art evolved into deep appreciation of the medium where he continues to be inspired and work in the capacity of light, shadows, movement and texture to form stories. His projects also include  the award-winning films Under The Lights and The Gift.

EMMA SCULLY

PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Emma Scully is a San Francisco-based Filmmaker. She has worked in film and commercial Production Design for the last 5 years, and co-wrote and co-produced the award-winning short film, The Gift, that has played in film festivals across the globe.

 

She has worked on projects with celebrated artist and filmmaker Lynn Hershman Leeson, as well as with actress Tessa Thompson.

 

Emma is currently working at the San Francisco Film School, where she is in charge of adapting the school's course catalog for online and hybrid teaching, and is involved in planning, filming and editing new online filmmaking courses.

AMIT JOSHI

COMPOSER

Amit Joshi is an Indian Tabla Player, Percussionist and a Music Composer based in Pune, India. Since childhood he was fond of Music and Rhythm winning many awards in school and college. He started playing Tabla accompaniment and Solo in big concerts at his young age. He has toured with various national and international artists for more than 40 countries and represented India as a peace Ambassador to perform concerts in SAARC Nations.

As a Music Director he enjoys composing for films, dramas and Album SongsA versatile player, his repertoire includes different genres music  like Indian Classical, Folk, Western, Jazz Instrumental, fusion and World Music and instruments from different countries.

He organizers and manages“KOSMIK BEATS EVENTS“  featuring live musical concerts as well as thematic musical programs .

He also runs “KOSMIK BEATS”, an Audio/Video and Music Production Studio which has won awards for audio/video editing for documentaries and short films.

TINA D'ELIA

CASTING DIRECTOR

Tina D’Elia, is an award-winning casting director, acting teacher, and performance coach. She has cast feature films, short films, webseries, music videos, voice overs, and industrials in the Bay Area since 2009. The vast array of projects include Chosen Fam, Bit., Steep Town, Women is Losers, A Wake, Cold Pressed, Lake Merritt Monster, The Gift, Transfinite, and Median.

 

Tina has also worked as a casting associate for Nina Henninger Casting, CSA, casting prolific and famed projects like Guitar Man, HBO television series Looking, Netflix series Sense8, and Discovery ID shows I Almost Got Away with it, Wives with Knives, and Cuff Me if you Can.

 

She received the Trailblazer Award in 2015 and the Diversity Casting Award in 2017 from the Equality International Film Festival for casting.  Her outreach extends to diverse communities including BIPOC, Youth, LGBTQ, and people with disabilities. Tina is honored to be listed in Curve Magazine’s “Power List” (2017) and Go Magazine, “100 Women We Love” (2019).

KENDRA GOFF

SCRIPT SUPERVISOR / DIT 

Kendra Goff is a bay area born and raised filmmaker, with experience in Commercials, Music Videos, Short films and Documentaries.  

 

She co-wrote, edited and served as Director of Photography for the award -winning short film, The Gift.  Her other projects include coming-of-age films Cardboard Escape and Marvin's Room.  She is currently editing a feature documentary that is set in the world of music. 

 

Kendra's drive in filmmaking is to capture the beauty of life, especially as experienced through perspective of a child.

Together with her partner, Elijah Booker, they run Rust and Honey Productions based in Santa Cruz, California.
